2009-2010 California State President Diane Keng Featured in the News
Monta Vista Senior and Marketing student Diane Keng being interviewed, today, at the WEB 2.0 conference in San Francisco. Diane is a co-founder of a business exhibiting at the show. Diane was formerly Silicon Valley DECA President (2008-2009) and California DECA State President (2009-2010).
DECA has announced the recipients from California of this year’s DECA Corporate Scholarships. The student and their advisor have been notified by DECA, but we also wanted to share the good news with everyone. Congratulations are in order for Brooke Toledo of Livermore HS for winning a Safeway Scholarship!
Dublin DECA Nominated for Volunteer Organization of the Year in Dublin
Dublin High School, March 9, 2010…On February 19, 2010 Dublin DECA was nominated VolunteerOrganization of the Year for the city of Dublin, California. Dublin DECA was among four organizations that were nominated for their commitment to community service in 2009, including: the Tri-Valley Women’s Club, the Rotary Club, and Dublin Partners in Education. During an event that was held on February 19th, members of Dublin DECA joined local politicians, city council members, Dublin Unified school board members, and noted citizens in a social gathering that celebrated the dedication of the volunteers of our community.
