SV DECA Hosts Exhibit at Local Annual Diwali Festival

decaaCupertino, California—September 27, 2014—Silicon Valley DECA hosted an exhibition booth on Saturday, September 27, at the 12th annual Diwali festival in Cupertino’s Memorial Park. People of all ages and cultures came to explore and enjoy the Indian Festival of Lights. As a festival of joy, splendor, brightness, happiness, and prosperity, Diwali marks the beginning of the new business year.
At the DECA booth, the Silicon Valley DECA District Action Team distributed flyers, and the officers shared their own DECA stories.  Both elementary and middle school students, as well as their parents, remarked that the DECA experience is something they are looking forward to in high school.

Silicon Valley DECA President Albert Zeng commented that participation in the event is an opportunity to build the DECA brand while helping the local community.
