GO to WRLC 2014!

Author:

What are you doing on November 13 to 15? If you didn’t answer attending WRLC in beautiful Anaheim, CA, then there’s something missing from your agenda. At this once-in-a-lifetime conference, held in our home state and hosted by your California DECA state officer team, the opportunities are endless.
Is social media your forte? Then the DECA Newsroom is the place for you! There, you’ll be able to report all the happenings throughout the conference on various social media networks. Or maybe you’re more musically inclined? That’s alright too, because at WRLC you can participate in the DECA Troupe. Anybody interested can audition to be part of WRLC’s own band, which will perform live at the conference!
Another unique opportunity in Anaheim is our GO TALK Speakers. Think TED Talks, DECA-fied. If you have a natural knack for speaking, or have a story you’re eager to tell, this is the first place you should apply. But if you’re looking for leadership and hospitality experience, then join the Leadership Intern Program, where you’ll serve as an intern for the planning committee working behind the scenes at the conference.
One of our biggest attractions, made for many of our DECA members who own their own businesses, is the DECA Garage, where Entrepreneur of the Year Jason Lucash will teach you vital skills and help you optimize your business. At the DECA Garage, you’ll compete with other businesses to attract virtual investors for your business, and the top two companies will both receive a start-up grant of $2,500!
And if these activities weren’t enough, then there’s also optional competitions and a star selection of guest speakers. Topping it all off, after a long exciting day, you’ll be able to enjoy a fun-packed DECA night at Disney with your chapter and new friends!
Visit http://wrlc2014.org immediately to get in on the action, and we’ll see you there!
