DECA Student Leaders Meet With Assemblymember Buchanan

San Ramon, California—October 13, 2014—On Monday, October 13, DECA student leaders met with Assemblymember Joan Buchanan of the 16th district to discuss the benefits of DECA and the importance of Career and Technical Education.
The DECA students’ meeting with Assemblymember Joan Buchanan provided her with valuable knowledge about DECA that she will pass on to the California Legislature, and the DECA members cherished the opportunity to practice their advocacy skills as well as gain insight on the political process.
