Look Back on NorCal CDC

Author: California DECA

To kick off 2017 with a bang, California DECA held its Northern California District Career Development Conference from January 13-15 in San Ramon, CA. This year, Northern California saw some major changes, the biggest being the election of next year’s Vice President of Northern California.
The six candidates presented their campaign speeches during the Opening Session and ran informational booths during the conference. The 2017-2018 Northern California Vice President, Christopher Kusumonegoro, was announced during the Grand Awards Session. In addition, this year’s conference featured the return of the Mr. And Miss NorCal Pageant.
In the year ahead, Northern California will also pilot its own District Action Team (NorCal DAT), which was also announced at the conference. All attending chapters had the chance to flex their competition skills in preparation to own their future at SCDC in March!
