Albany's VENTURE Store Receives Gold Certification

Author:

The VENTURE store at Albany High School was recently awarded DECA Gold Certification. The only school-based enterprise participating in DECA to receive gold certification, this store – and business department – was only in the beta stages at the beginning of the year.
Two teachers, Miriam Walden and Virginia Tremblay, worked with students to develop new business and design classes (which are thought to have last been offered in the early 80’s) and eventually the VENTURE store emerged. The store sells school supplies and apparel. Congratulations Albany High School!
